Alice in Wonderland Belated Birthday Card.

I've had the idea for this card for awhile, bouncing around in my head. (However, it looks nothing like how I imagined it! What's up with that?) Then a couple of my fav challenge blogs had movie/book themes and it was GO time.

Random information - the last movie I watched was Sherlock Holmes. I liked it, it had some good scenes.

I felt I should also do the inside of this card. I thought it would be too "busy" if I added everything I wanted only to the outside.

You're Cool Card.

I'm so tired today! I wanted to get this post in early in case I don't have the energy for it later. Really, I don't understand how the kids can go go go all day! Mine don't stop, morning to night. Today I'm struggling to keep up.
This card is for a friend of my daughter. Outside says "I think you're cool" Inside says "Hope your birthday is too." Apologies, I forgot to take a pic of the inside.

Basic Grey Challenges has a color recipe. Blue, gold and white.
Polka Doodles wants to see some animals.

Wedding Card.

I did it, I finally did a stair step card! Already I want to make another. I think a scenic card, all the layers and depth could make a great 3-D project.
Anyhoo, this one is a wedding card. It's not the most romantic or elegant of wedding cards but the bride and groom are more funky and off-beat so I wanted to reflect on that. I also made a super thick envelope to fit it. I didn't want to embellish the envelope too much since it'll be dropped into a giant pile of other envelopes and might get ruined, but I did add a ribbon to tie it closed. Gotta protect the cheque.

For these challenges -
Stampin' For the Weekend asks for ribbons and bows.

Thank You Card.

I'm posting this during dinner, while the rest of the family eats. I've eaten wayyyyy too much chocolate this afternoon, and have no room for proper food.
Cupcake Challenges has a neat theme this week. Make Your Own Flower. I played with a few techniques using felt, but this flower was my fav.
Enjoy your Friday night!

Thanks for stopping by, I'm thinking about trying a step card next. I've never done one before.

Hippo Birdie Card.

I recently picked up a copy of the March/April Paper Crafter's magazine. I saw a card in the Lovely As a Tree section and fell in love. I had to try it. However, I also had this Hippo Birdie stamp that I bought for $1 at Michael's and wanted to include it. This is the how the merge worked out.
