Make It Monochrome.

That's the challenge starting today over at Kaboodle Doodles.
MONOCHROME.

Making a monochromatic card is my BIGGEST struggle. Basically every one I've every tried came out horribly wrong. Soooo I didn't do a card. Instead I made some felt coffee sleeves. The first two are monochrome using brown but I had so much fun that I had to make more!

Glitter/Bling Challenge.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined in the fun at last weeks Kaboodle Doodles challenge!

USE GLITTER OR BLING!!! Or combine the two, doesn't matter, as long as it sparkles!!

I really hate seeing some wonderful work removed because it didn't follow the rules!!
Here is my card. I was going for a country-ish kinda feel. All the glitter is that wonderful Glitter Ritz that I purchased a while back. Those little tubes sure go a long way.

Funny story about bling for those who care to hear it....
Last weekend I took the kids to a friend's birthday party. It was at one of those indoor play places with slides etc.... Anyways, I ALWAYS goof around a little at these places and try out all the fun stuff. So I went down the twirly slide and it ends in a GIANT, DEEP ball pit. What excitement right?! And my friend's son who's 5 is waiting for me at the bottom and starts throwing balls at me. So in the spirit of things I grab a couple and throw back at him. As one of the balls is leaving my hand I see my wedding and engagement rings slide right off my finger, arc thru the air and land somewhere a few feet away in this massive pit!! Cue the panic!! Took me about 10 minutes of frantic digging but managed to find both my rings!! I must have been quite the sight. I'll be getting them resized first chance I get.

Moxie Fab Monochromatics.

Hi all, and happy Thursday!! I'm just glad to feel alive again after the dreaded Stomach Flu weaseled it's way into my home and knocked down 3 out of the 5 of us.
(Why does my hubby NEVER get sick?!!! So unfair!)
I made this tag for the Moxie Fab World Monochromatic Challenge. Now, normally monochrome is something I avoid, but PINK monochrome..... that is a whole different story!

Moxie Fab Jewel Tones.

Ok, so, as I said in an earlier post, Moxie Fab World has a LARGE number of challenges happening right now. This is a card I made for the Jewel Tones Colour Challenge. These are what you have to work with...

Really striking group of colours I think. Not a combo I would have been able to come up with myself. Glad the pros picked them for me ;)
For my card I didn't end up using too much of the blue. It was present in the planning stage, but some how got lost in translation. Story of my crafty life. But it's there in inking.



The goldish flowers are tissue paper. A technique I actually read in PaperCrafts magazine. They started as squares that I folded, then rounded the edges. I went for a CAS style, so I just used my Score-Pal to emboss a few lines to help draw the eye towards the flower bunch.

Black/White +1 Challenge.

Good morning everyone and welcome to another challenge at Kaboodle Doodles.
Your mission- create a card using only black, white and one other colour. Our sponser is Sassy Studio and their images are soooooo great!!
I, of course, used one of their fab digis for my card. Only I goth-ed her up a little for this challenge.

Moxie Fab Colour Combo

Happy Wednesday everyone! I was sure today was to be a snow day, but my daughter's school was open so I roughed it on the roads first thing this morning. I HATE driving in that kind of weather. The van's back end kept trying to slide out and I thought my heart was going to beat it's way right out of my chest!!! So really the day could only get better. My boys played together soooo nicely that I was able to put the finishing touches on this card.
I made this for the current colour challenge at Moxie Fab World. They have a number of colour combos to play with, and hopefully I'll get the time to try the others. You can see all the details by clicking the link.

Good morning, and a HUGE thank you to everyone how played along at last weeks Kaboodle Doodles challenge! I enjoyed visiting all your blogs!!
Today starts our new challenge **** We've gone WEEKLY now!!!! Double the FUN **** and it's
DO IT WITH DIGI'S!!!!
How easy is that?!!! The prize up for grabs is 5 images from The Stamping Boutique.

I decided to try something unusual (for me) and made a card ONLY using digis. The farm background is from The Stamping Boutique. And I apologize, but the duck is one I had saved onto my computer but forgot to add who designed it. Sorry!!! If anyone knows, please tell me so I can give due credit!!



FYI The stitching..... not faux!!! I now have a sewing machine!!! I love Christmas!!!

This Is So Not Me.

I love colour!! I almost had to sit on my hands to stop myself from adding any more to this card! I told myself that I would find the time whenever I could to play along at Moxie Fab World, then they threw this curveball and made me leave my comfort zone behind!

Penguin Gable Box.

We at Kaboodle Doodles thought we'd make things easy to start off the New Year. So our challenge this week is
ANYTHING GOES!!!
Don'tcha just love when that happens?! Complete freedom to make whatever you wish!! Can't wait to see what you come up with.

For my project I made a gable box. I love these for holding small gifts. I was thinking about something for the kids when I made this. And I used my new blending chalks!! They are fantastic!! Don't really know how I survived so long without them, but then again, I ALWAYS think that anytime I get a new toy!!
