You're a Star.

I'm playing at Moxie Fab World for the first time. For the past few months I actively follow all the great work going on over there, and now that things here have slowed down a little I found the time to make a card inspired by this weeks Trigger Tuesday!

I love the stripes and the warmth of this photo and tried to reflect that in my card.

Tearin' It Up!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas!!!
What an insanely busy weekend. I can remember the joy I felt on Christmas morning when I was a kid, I thought that nothing could ever be better. But I think I enjoy the holidays even more now that I have kids!! Seeing them so happy is just the BEST!!!
I hope things have settled down enough now for you cus we've got a great challenge starting today at Kaboodle Doodles! We thought that since you've torn open all your gifts, why not add some torn paper to your projects?! Have any fab wrapping paper left over? Add it to your card! Feel free to make anything you'd like, just be sure to have some torn papers on there somewhere. We're sponsered, this week, by the awesome Shelly's Images. Their stamps are adorable and I appreciate the great flower image they let me use!

Thanks for looking, I hope you'll play along!

Thank You Card.

Since I've finished my Christmas cards for this year, why not get started on a Thank You one as they're always useful after the holidays!!
This card combines 3 things. First, The Shabby Tea Room wants to see a creation using felt or fleece. I've gone with the felt. I love the texture it adds.
Secondly, City Crafter asks for a card using Kraft paper. And lastly, one of my new digis that I won from Pink Cat Studios. I loved it as soon as I saw it!!

9 days til Christmas!!!!
Thanks,
Farrah

Happy Travels.

This card is the love child of 2 things. First, the TRAVEL THE WORLD challenge at Sir Stamp Alot and secondly, my newest papers from DCWV - Citrus. The papers are so bright and uplifting that my mind kept returning to a hot-air balloon (not my original idea) and that lead me to think about travelling.
For the clouds I just googled some different languages, printed them, and cut them with the Cricut. I don't actually have a cartridge with a cloud shape, so I used the treetop layer from Stretch Your Imagination and I think it worked just fine.

On an unrelated note..... the other day I pulled up to the store and noticed the bumper sticker on the car I was parking beside said "So many pedestrians, so little time." I chuckled a little as I was parking. Then the driver of the other car got in, mistakenly put their car in drive instead of reverse, and nearly hit a young couple walking by the front of the car!!! I guess there really is truth to all humor!!
Anyhoo, this card is for these challenges -

Clean & Simple at Kaboodles!

It's that time again! A new challenge at Kaboodle Doodles has started today!
CLEAN AND SIMPLE CHRISTMAS.
So if you've got any last minute Christmas cards needing to be made, be sure to enter them into our challenge. Personally, I think this is my LAST holiday card of the year.

Our sponser this week is Robyn's Fetish. And I thank them for letting me use some of their images! I enjoyed myself.
For my card I used the angel digi. I love the way she's floating in the clouds!

I printed her out twice, then layered part of the image for added depth.

It Was Martha's Idea.

I saw this project on the Martha Stewart show and LOVED it!! I heard it's been shown on Oprah too, but I don't watch her. I'm planning to give this to my in-laws at Christmas. The photos spell out DEBIASI. Their (and mine) last name and were all taken in the summer at their cottage. Wish I'd had my new camera then, but c'est la vie. Really, if you leave your mind open, seeing letters in common items is pretty simple.

Let It Snow!

This is one of those rare cards that behaved and turned out like I expected.
Maybe because there isn't a lot going on, it has a more clean and tidy look. I started forming this card in my head a couple days ago, when we got our first significant snowfall. It's mostly gone now but it was really pretty while it lasted.

Christmas Ornaments.

I love my friends that appreciate homemade gifts. Some aren't happy unless it's store-bought but my good friend Jen will love these. Her and I always get together with the families at some point through the holidays and get each other a little something. We've been friends since Grade 6 and my only regret is that when we were kids I always made a fuss about everyone forgetting my birthday. (It's on Christmas Day.) Now that I'm getting old-ER, I prefer nobody to mention it, but every year she has cake and makes everybody sing Happy Birthday to me. I swear I'm putting a stop to it when I hit the big 4-0!!!!
I made these ornaments for her, her husband Rod, and her son Matthew. First time I've every tried ornaments, I hope you like them.

All boxed up.

For these challeges -

Altered Candle Holder.

Super fast post tonight. I'm soooo tired.
This is a small gift I made for a client. A good way to say "Thank You"
I've never altered glass before. My intentions were to paint it. What a mess!
Instead I went with rub-ons.
For The Shabby Tea Room. CARD/PROJECT THAT IS NOT SQUARE. Outstanding DT work- as usual.

Tag Crazy!!!

I LOVE making Christmas tags! I find I use more of them than actual cards, as they're handy for Hostess, not-so-close friend's etc... gifts.
So as our new challenge at Kaboodle Doodles is TAG - YOU'RE IT! I took it as an opportunity to make a bunch!!
Our sponser this week is the GREAT Robyn's Fetish and I LOVE their digi's! So many fun images to choose from that I couldn't pick just one!

So here is a bunch of tags I made..... and when you make one, please play along so I can come check them out!!

Little Boy Brag Book.

I made one of these for a baby girl a couple months ago. Now it's the boy's turn. I used the same technique as the previous brag book. Altered an old felt photo holder and added a ton of pages.

Sorry to bombard you with soooo many pics! I just REALLY love my new camera, and this book has quite a few different pages.

Where've Ya Been?

I realize I've been MIA for a week. No post for 7 days is so unlike me so I thought I'd share some stories.
My first ever craft show was a roaring success! And oh so FUN! Sandra and I had 2 tables overflowing with crafts. We met a lot of great people, but what I enjoyed the most was whenever anyone had something nice to say about my work!

These bags Sandra made with just a bit of Kraft paper, twine and a streak of genius!

We also had a few requests. So Sandra has been hard at work painting Christmas bulbs (hopefully she'll post them soon, I too have yet to see them.) and I have been making boxes for someone I met who sells candles. Like I said SO FUN!

I've also been making quick Christmas ornaments with my daughter,

Had a visit from my sister-in-law and finally met my newest niece Daniella.....

And had the pleasure of watching my son fall asleep in the middle of dessert!

Promise to be back soon, I'm almost done my latest project.
